What does it cost to attend Bertschi?

2016-17 Tuition for grades Pre-k through 5 is $26,720, with a student fee of $200. A 10% deposit is due with the enrollment contract, and three payment plans are available. Extended Day costs an additional $4,600 for the year if you use it every day.

If monthly payments of $2,592  would be a hardship to your family, we encourage you to apply for financial aid.

What does financial aid pay for?

Our financial aid program helps with tuition as well as a family’s other costs such as Learning Services and Extended Day.

How are financial awards determined?

All financial information provided to Bertschi School is completely confidential.

Financial aid awards are based on a family’s ability to meet the cost of an education at Bertschi. To determine the most fair and equitable estimate of a family’s need, Bertschi utilizes Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST), an organization that does an independent assessment of financial need. In addition, parents are asked to provide an explanation of their financial situation and relevant documents (tax returns, wage statements, etc.). The FAST system collects all data through a web-based, secure process. Envelopes are available from the Admission Office to mail in paperwork if needed.

Does the admission team know if we've requested aid?

The admission committee reviews applicant files with a primary goal in mind: to identify those students who will benefit the most from an education at Bertschi, and make a positive contribution to the life of the school. The committee does not have access to financial information or aid applications.

What types of financial awards are available?

Each family's situation is unique, and the FAST system considers more than just your income.  Here's an ballpark estimate of awards:

Total Income Award Range
$0-50,000 $21,000-24,000
$50,000-100,000 $15,000-22,000
