The temperature in the Cascades changes through the seasons. In the winter there is snow everywhere and in the summer the only snow is on the highest peaks of the mountains. There is a lot of precipitation in the Cascades. Snoqualmie Pass gets about 120 inches of precipitation each year. There are ski resorts in the Cascades because there is so much precipitation in the Cascades.
