The Extended Day Program provides after-school, quality programs for Bertschi families.

The Extended Day Enrichment Teachers and Program Director are trained, experienced professionals with a strong commitment to working with children. The Extended Day Program offers a balance of structured and free choice activities for each child. Enrichment activities such as art, sports and recreation, drama, and science are planned each day. The Homework Center provides students support in a quiet, small group setting in the school library. Staff assists students as they review and complete classroom assignments, helping them develop good study skills.

Extended Day programming is available after school, as well as on Early Dismissal and No School days. Families can use the program on a drop-in basis or contract for the entire year. Please complete the Extended Day Registration Form [PDF] and return to Mitzi in the Business Office.

Bertschi's after-school extracurricular program is an integral part
of school life.

We plan a variety of specialized extracurricular activities for which children can register outside of the Extended Day Program. A club fee covers all instruction and materials for the session as well as any Extended Day fees for the day that the club meets.

In the past, options have included sewing, aikido, choir, chess, science adventures, and comic illustration. We choose instructors experienced in their field of expertise and focus on providing a cooperative and supportive learning atmosphere.
